How to Live Large in the New 2021 MINI Countryman

September 22nd, 2020 by
Kids sitting in the cargo area in a new 2021 MINI Countryman SAV while camping.
There’s something about living in North County San Diego that speaks to us. With easy access to the world’s best and cleanest beaches, more trails for hiking than any other metropolitan in California, and snow a short 90 minutes away, it really is a home unlike any other. That’s why we have centered our lives here. We started with a small sales floor and service center a few decades ago, and we are committed to downtown Escondido for the long haul. And while we are committed to the city and our neighborhood, we are committed to you. That’s why we are excited to share with you the new...

Where do you get your MINI news?

September 18th, 2020 by
Green MINI Copper Hard Top 2 Door inside of a factory.
Like every other MINI owner, we are obsessed with our cars. We spend hours every week browsing social media looking at the hottest customizations on MINIs, looking for the latest news and rumors about what’s coming next, and seeing what people think about the newest models. We just took the newest John Cooper Works GP Hardtop 2 Door out for a drive, and that thing soars! I guess that’s why it’s got that giant wing, right?  MotoringFile is the best source for MINI news. This is hands-down (and hands-up) the best source for MINI news. Gabriel Bridger is a true MINI fan, but his writing...

Our Employee Spotlight on Client Advisor Joe Chen

September 1st, 2020 by
One of our Client Advisors sitting in his brand new red MINI Cooper S.
We’d like to formally introduce Joe Chen, our leading client advisor for MINI. He’s been working with us since October 2017 and has a growing list of happy repeat clients and referrals. His hard-earned #28 jersey (28 is his personal record of cars sold in a month), is a reminder to all that he’s a team player with a serious work ethic to back up his customer service.  Joe applied for a sales position with us after working a few years as a grocery clerk; he just wanted to make a career change. He graduated from UCSD with his Bachelor's degree in political science, but when he looked...

Why should you drive a MINI Countryman?

August 21st, 2020 by
MINI Countryman backed up in a driveway along a cobblestone path.
The MINI Countryman continues our legacy of sharp handling and timeless look, but with added versatility. The added size and longer wheelbase lends an extremely comfortable ride. When you're on the road, lookout for other MINI Countryman drivers -- they are wanderers of the road but are never lost. If you’re ready to enjoy driving again with a smile, it’s time to get yourself behind the wheel of a Countryman.  The Countryman has game for days. The Countryman fits everyone and everything! As much as I loved my “Go-Kart” Hardtop 2-Door, my Countryman is a spacious step-up. I still...

There’s nothing quite like a MINI with the top down.

May 14th, 2020 by
MINI Cooper Convertible parked outside a deli with the top down, near a beach.
Nothing beats a leisurely cruise down the Pacific Coast Highway in a convertible MINI Cooper. With the wind blowing in your hair and the ocean breeze kissing your face, the car just screams Southern California living at its finest. Whether you’re driving to the beaches from East County San Diego on Highway 8, or taking a making stops along the way down the 5, this is the Cooper you want to own for those long Summer nights.  What sets MINI apart from the rest in the convertible space is that it is everything you know MINI to be: ample space for you and your family, plenty of power with...

The New 2020 MINI SE All Electric Vehicle

April 17th, 2020 by
Young adult man walking to the passenger side of his MINI SE Electric Vehicle to charge.
The new 2020 MINI SE has had quite the crazy journey. We first started talking about the arrival and value of going electric December of 2019 and got ready for the first few pickups in early March of 2020. In February, we received three test cars from MINI USA, giving us to test drive the three standard models for a week: Signature, Signature Plus, and Iconic. Every MINI of Escondido employee had the opportunity to take the SE out for a test drive, and our suspicions were confirmed: The MINI SE is one of the most fun MINI ever made, and the perfect urban commuter. In addition to our own...
