The Countryman fits everyone and everything! As much as I loved my “Go-Kart” Hardtop 2-Door, my Countryman is a spacious step-up. I still get the same fun driving experience and my passengers enjoy my MINI adventures without feeling squished. Just a few weeks ago, I took it recently down California’s infamous Interstate 1 through amazing national parks and destinations. Driving through the winding roads along the coast, my Countryman glided through every curve with ease. My foot barely needed to step on the brake because it’s easy handling, hugging every corner. The Countryman is a killer daily driver.

This car has changed since the O.G. Countryman that debuted in 2010. In 2017, the MINI Countryman was reintroduced with a new bodystyle. Parking a MINI wasn’t rocket science from the start, but in 2017 the backup camera was added so now just imagine the possibilities we have as master parkers. Or add the Parking Assistant, and with a flick of a switch your MINI parallel park on it’s own. The center tachometer also moved to the driver’s line of sight, the engine got a complete upgrade with more standard power, and the interior got a full overhaul. The media screen is crazy sharp and the colors pop like a jewel case, so your Pandora or Spotify playlists get a little visual enhancement. 

The Countryman is special, even compared to other MINI models. 

You can’t go wrong with any of the MINI models, but the Countryman is definitely the “BIGGIE”. The Clubman with its famous barn doors is almost identical in size specs with the Countryman but the Countryman beats it with the extra headroom. MINI always uses every inch possible for its functionality and comfort, and the Countryman is the perfect example of that.  So yes, it is easy to put in a child’s car seat, and artists, photographers, and golfers can carry all their equipment with space to spare to have your doggo lounge in the back. Simply put, the Countryman is a crossover that is unique in style that gives a thrill of adventure to those who love to stay connected with the road.
