The MINI Hardtop is a Classic, Meant for Our Future
Everyone who owns a MINI has a story. Perhaps that’s why the MINI brand has such a storied history (pun intended). Those of us who drive one on the daily wave to one another as we pass each other on the roads, we customize our Coopers to make them our own, and as our families have grown, have moved from the Hardtop 2 Door to the Hardtop 4 Door. MINI is a part of who we are, and we want to pass it down to the next generation.
MINI Hardtop is a Classic
This article is not about the history of the MINI, from its humble beginnings within the British Motor Corporation. While we could all have some fun reminiscing about that as well as the Italian Job, to those of us who live the MINI life, classic means something different. Class means it fits us. Classic means it’s our vibe. Classic means we know it when we see it, it emulates the best in all of us, and we pass down the MINI mentality from generation to generation. Some will say that the MINI purist will stay in the lane and only by the “classic” Hardtop 2 Door, while those of us who are truly MINI will be stoked when anyone brings home a MINI: from the Hardtop 2 or 4 Door, to the Countryman or Clubman. With PHEV and the new MINI SE, hybrid and electric are a part of our future too!
Maybe we end the judgment and put on a smile for anyone driving the Union Jack?
MINI Hardtop is Meant for Our Future
So … about that hybrid and electric future. The MINI Hardtop has always been friendly to your pocket and the environment. With its thirty-seven highway and twenty-six city miles per gallon, you’ve always been able to commute or take long trips without the added worry of breaking the bank for soaring gas prices. While MINI maintains that commitment to you and our environment, there is a new commitment towards renewable energy. By 2025 most vehicles under the BMW umbrella will have a hybrid option, and several more will be available as electric only. The Hardtop 2 Door currently comes in an all-electric version, better known as the MINI SE, and the Countryman PHEV is a hybrid electric MINI with space to grow.
MINI Hardtop is For Me
What this means is that the MINI is a vehicle for anyone. No matter your budget (starting at just $22,400), your environmental leanings, dedication to high mileage or renewable fuels (PHEV, hybrid, and all-electric), or space needed, the MINI Hardtop 2 Door or MINI Hardtop 4 Door is right for you, right now. All you need is a commitment to fun, friends, and driving the most amazing car within the most amazing tribe. And if you want to go fast, don’t forget we have the John Cooper Works ready for you when you get here. It’s got 228 horsepower and a 0-60 second time under six seconds. More than enough to make any grown child smile.
